MIA...

Sorry for disappearing... things have been busy and stressful round here at the moment... got a lot on my mind but heyho!

As I mentioned in a previous post we have found Keira a new home... she's settling in nicely albeit a few mishaps but hopefully they will subside. Do you remember me mentioning this little lady below...

Well... she has no chip so has been booked to get one and will be joining our little family... she is officially named Snowy.

Missy in the picture above has had me very worried as she's not been well... all last weekend she did nothing but sleep, no eating, drinking... just sleep... Monday she seemed to perk up a bit and started eating, only a little but alas eating and drinking a little, but she still was out of sorts... Wednesday she started making clicking sounds with her tongue and looked as if she was struggling to swallow so I rang the vet who gave me an appointment for 4pm. I took both Missy & Snowy (as she'd become a little too sleepy) to get them checked and it seems Missy may have picked up a Virus that she kindly shared with Snowy... a shot of anti-biotics for both and an extra strong painkiller for Missy as she has a blister on her tongue... a course of anti-biotics to give them at home for the next week too... and boy are they loving that as i'm crushing the tablets up and mixing it with Tuna twice a day... and of course Fubar has to have his share of the Tuna without medicine.
Today they seem to have perked up and are back to chasing each other around the house.

On the crafting side of things there hasn't been as much as i'd like... my mind just hasn't been on it and what I have created I can't share at the moment as they are for swaps or Christmas gifts... although I can share one after Sunday as i'm going to Peterborough with the lovely Monica for a training event where we will be holding a swap using items from the New Catalogue.

Sir Norman Wisdom...

One of my most favourite ever actor/comedian - Sir Norman Wisdom has died at the age of 95.

I remember sitting watching Norman Wisdom films when I was little.....and still watch them now as I have the 12 dvd boxset!! Just loved his humour.

I love the choice they are so easy to use and they stamp just as beautiful. I personally don't get on with wood mount so am loving the New Clear Mount.

 LOVE< LOVE My fave thing in this catalogue is the COLOUR COACH page 81. 

OMG this wonderful tool is a great resource to have on hand, and any crafter should have one. This will help you no end putting together successful colour schemes effortlessly. I am quite good on my own with colour but not this good!  I have used mine ever since I got it, it makes life so easy. 

The way it works -  well it cleverly displays the whole core colours plus the 5 NEW In Colours, and on the back you have at least 2 suggested combinations for each one of those colours so TONS of different and exciting combos, is truly fabulous, I cannot wait to show you some wonderful fresh colour combinations inspired by this lovely little book.

Talk about the NEW COLOURS....WOW!!! Wonderful new and exciting colours all crying to be used first, I was so upset with SU for retiring so many of my fave colours and now after seeing them all I am so excited I absolutely LOVE them !!!  

I now fully realize that we needed a renovation I just didn’t know it at the time *smile*.

Of course there are far too many new products in this book I could mention but I won’t, because I want you to have another look and another one , and I promise you that with each look you will discover new treasures. 

I am just hoping your bank manager is an understanding one as your wish list grows and grows.

Post 60 & Some News...

Well... it's about time for another update and I have lots of news to share :)

Ok... so here are a few cards i've made recently... the first one was made for one of HisLordShip's work colleagues who recently got engaged

I used some Stampin Up Bride, Groom & Bridesmaid papers, which unfortunately are retiring and may have even sold out already.
I also made a couple of these cards for HisLordShip's sister's wedding anniversaries but bigger and used Stampin Up ink to change the colour for the first heart, unfortunately I didn't get photo's as they were out the house as soon as they were made but they looked fabulous.

Unfortunately I had to make a couple of last minute Get Well cards as FSIL partner's mum had a fall and broke her hip quite badly... so here is what I came up with...

Again I have used Stampin Up Paper's (reitiring), Stamp's... Curvy Verses, Oval All & All A Flutter (which will be in the New Catalogue) Punches... Scalloped Oval and Small Oval (also in the New Catalogue).

And speaking of Stampin Up... I took a very large step for myself and became a Demo... there has been so much to take in, and with all the changes of the New Catalogue too... ohhh my goodness you will absolutely love all the new goodies we are getting... I can't wait until October 1st to show you all :)

On the homefront things have been very up and down... busy busy busy... and i'll start by introducing you to...

Keira... a gorgeous Husky, about a year old, who was found abandoned in a park by a Park Ranger, one of HisLordShip's friends, they rang the Dog Warden who checked for chipping, she was chipped so the owner was contacted... she'd given the dog to a friend, friends details were given and was then contacted... they'd given the dog to 'A Bloke'... Dog Warden said if she was taken to pound they'd only be able to keep her 7days and if wasn't homed in that time she'd be destroyed... Park Ranger said 'No Way' put his details on the chip and took her home. Unfortunately his partner is starting Uni so 10 days after saving her HisLordShip said that we'd see how she got on with my dog and cat... she gets on great with Fubar (GSD) but Missy in picture below

Just does not get along with Keira... or rather Keira just wants to chase her. So poor Missy has been upstairs in the bedroom sulking for the last week or so as everytime she comes downstairs Keira chases her.
As well as a few other issues Keira has I had to make the decision that she just wasn't suited to our family at this moment in time and asked HisLordShip to phone a friend who we knew had been looking for a dog. Tonight we are making the journey to his house for Keira to visit and see how she gets on with his little boy and his partner... we're crossing fingers it goes well tonight and hopefully in next couple of weeks after a few more visits she will go and live with them.

And to top it all off... last night after making the phone call to his friend and getting the poochie sorted for a visit... I went upstairs, sat at my pc, heard a noise outside and spotted a white kitten with no collar in the garden... went down  and outside to check it out, looked up and down street, no sign of anyone looking for it, couldn't leave it outside as it's getting cold now so thought best to bring it in... she's going to need de-fleaing straight away... Missy isn't happy, keeps hissing and growling at it... but runs away when it goes near her.

This is Snowy as she's called at the moment... i've to find out how to see if she's chipped and if anyone is looking for her... if not I think she may end up staying... I'm sure Missy will eventually learn to either get along or at least tolerate her.

Other than all the animal commotions everything is ok... boys are enjoying school again, i'm enjoying a bit of time to myself even though i'm still looking for a JOB, the depression keeps sneaking in but I seem to to be able to push myself forward and not let take over completely which is ok, I can deal with that, just take each day as it comes.
This weekend... the boys will be staying with Grandparents as HisLordShip is going to paint and paper my bedroom/craft room... so i'll have to spend Friday moving all my craft supplies from the worktop surfaces and put them in the boys room... then when it's all done I can try and get myself organised properly as I want my cuttlebug and Slice machine down permanently so i can use them more, instead of having to get them out when needed, as sometimes I just can't be bothered LOL

Ok... so i've rattled on enough... lot longer than first thought... oops.. if your still here give yourself a pat on the back... hehe
Hopefully won't be too long before posts... but you never know :P

Update time again... and where did August go please?

Ok... so it's been a month again since my last update. Time just seems to be flying by sooo fast... we are three quarters of the way through the year already... it's very scary.

Ok... so here are a few more of the cards i'd made...

My nana asked for an 18th but wanted the numbers to be the card... so here was a quick card as it was very last minute and I wasn't exactly happy with it but she liked it so heyho.

This card was made for HisLordShips dad from the boys for Father's/Gramp's Day... he loves Meerkats and the digital stamp was perfect. He Loved it.

This card was also for HisLordShips dad on Father's Day... I used my Stampin' Up tag punches and my QuicKutz Alpha's.

This one was requested by Uncle & Nana for my Auntie Denise who lives Down South.

This is the one that I made for my Auntie Denise.

Now we come to my Cousin's 18th... he loves Goth... and as i'd never done Goth cards and so many for the same person I was stumped to say the least... but I found some pic's on the web and printed them out several times to decoupage them.

Now what else did I do in August... well we spent a lovely week at Primrose Valley in HisLordShips nana's static caravan. We hit the beach a few times... even once at 7am, it was so quiet and probably the best time to go as there was only about 5 people walking their dogs. the boys went shell seeking and I now have a large bag full... maybe for some projects. We did a couple of carboot sales that we stumbled across... boys got a few bargains, HisLordShip got a few books... and I was really good and resisted the crafts stalls.
The Sealife centre is always a must visit and this year they had Sea Dragons, which you weren't allowed to use any kind of camera lights on. We caught the minature train from Peasholm Park down to the Sealife centre and back again. We spent ages watching the Otters and stayed for the feeding and talk show... it was so fascinating even though we managed to catch it last year... they seemed to be outside more so we got lots of piccies and I was bought a large stuffed toy one.
I have a growing collection of Book Marks from the places i've visited and HisLordShip has started collecting the tags that go on walking sticks.
We had HislordShip's parent's come to stay on the last 2 nights of the holiday so had planned a few trips out... the boys wanted to do the Mini Tanks at Peasholm Park so we spent the Saturday there and they also got to do the Paintball and Laser Quest... a walk down the beach to the Pirate Crazy Golf where we had to split into 2 teams of 3... Grandparents & Cj (CABs)... HisLordShip & I with Tom (JETs)... we had the JETs versus CABs... and the JETs won... which was a surprise as it was my first time playing Crazy Golf... LOL
We finished Saturday with a trip to Filey to get some fish & chips for dinner.
Sunday was then spent packing in the morning... a trip to the Circus (Planet Circus who are on facebook) for the 2pm showing... it was amazing and definitely a fantastic way to end the holiday.

The boys started back to High School... YR8 on Friday... it's scray to think that in April they will be choosing their options for the next 3yrs. My babies are growing up soooo fast and so tall... they are nearly as tall as myself and i'm 5ft 2in... certainly taking after their father 6ft 2in.

I do have some other news but at the moment i'm still trying to process it all... very big step for me and a little scary... but i'll be back later to explain.
