Thought i'd show you all a Canvas I did... at the moment it hangs in my living room but it will go in the boys room as the colours just don't go with my room decor... LOL
I used Cobalt Blue Acrylic paint around the edge, which once dry I used white Sakura Pen to draw a border inside the blue. Brown paint was used behind the photo, used HOTP Swirly stamps for edge of the photo. The hearts were cut from DCWV Retro papers and Doodlebug Alpha bought at GoGoGetaway for the Title!
Thought i'd also take a few minutes to let you know about some Blog Candy over here... http://angeljakki.blogspot.com/2008/09/im-giving-away-blog-candy.html
I love this blog... lots of fantastic inspiration!
I've also just joined the wonderful world of Stampin Up as a Club 10 member... the new Catalogue arrived through my letterbox this evening so i'm going to have a nice cuppa & a browse to see what goodies I would like to buy first... I can't wait!
Well... better go see what the boys are up to... they are awfully quiet, which can only mean Trouble with a capital T!

What Erika Means
You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone.
You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together.
At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together.

You are wild, crazy, and a huge rebel. You're always up to something.
You have a ton of energy, and most people can't handle you. You're very intense.
You definitely are a handful, and you're likely to get in trouble. But your kind of trouble is a lot of fun.

You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing.
You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long.
You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start.

You are a seeker of knowledge, and you have learned many things in your life.
You are also a keeper of knowledge - meaning you don't spill secrets or spread gossip.
People sometimes think you're snobby or aloof, but you're just too deep in thought to pay attention to them.

You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection.
You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive.
You have the classic "Type A" personality.

Great Northern Papercrafts Extravaganza...

Was visited today by myself, Nats & my two boys who I have to say were really well behaved compared to previous shopping trips, even to the local supermarket, and we had a fabulous time! I had a set budget that i'd managed to save over a few months and shock of shocks didn't go over but actually came away with pennies in my pocket... well until we went for lunch at The Kestrel Pub where we just had to have a pudding too!

Ok... so here's a few pic's of my lovely goodies... These Mags were 3 for £5, so a must have treat for lots of inspirationYes... more clear stamps but who could resist these, they are soooo cute

These were the bargains of the day at £1 each, lots of lovely velvet alpha's, some thickers for holiday layouts and a couple packs of rub-ons for those Autumn layouts

Some more Alpha stickers... Papermania have brought out these lovely green's, red's and blue's in 2 different font's

Some fancy-edged cardstock, Spot-embossed cardstock, some brass buckles and the essential Fiskars trimmer blades

Well... that's the lot... I think I did quite well as previous visits I have just bought nearly everything in sight, which is still sat upstairs unused so wanted to be reserved about what I bought this time!

Now it's finding some time to do some much needed scrapping!

Well... I hope to be back soon with layouts or cards... catch you all later :)

Naughty Spending!!!

Ok... so having not bought anything in an absolute age... I decided I was going to treat myself to some stamps i'd see on that famous auction site as I was feeling down in the dumps and full of cold... So after a few hours looking and drooling over the gorgeous clear stamps that are available at the moment these are the 4 sets I finally decided on!

I can't wait to start playing and creating things with them... the top right set will be perfect for some of the Autumn layouts I have in mind with last years photo's, can't wait to get some this year too... a trip out is planned for next Sunday as I'm at my very first crop as being hostess with my friend Natbag http://eatbreathesleepscrap.blogspot.com/ on the Saturday... we will be a little sad though as our other friend Rachel http://rewardingmemories.blogspot.com/ won't be able to join us as she's visiting the wonderful Disneyland Florida... I'm not jealous... honest... Ok, so maybe a little lot!

Construction Work!!!

Ok so the instructions said it will take... 2 people to construct this unit... it was obviously written by men for men... as it took just me 30-45 mins to construct this 3 block by 4 block unit!

It did take myself and my 2 boys to get it up the stairs however, as it was rather heavy! It's now sat outside my bedroom door, which the boys have kindly decorated with stickers, as I need to remove some drawers which will go into the boys bedroom so that I can place the unit where I want it to go... then comes the job of finally organising my craft supplies and donating what I won't use to the boys school, which there will be quite a lot, like the dreaded Colossal Packs i'm sure we all bought at the beginning of our scrapping journey!
