Back Again...

This Layout is for the pre-Getaway Challenge for Scrap-a-GoGo... Getting To Know You

I've used Prima's Angelique Collection "Angel Kisses" for the background, Fancy Pants Glitter Cuts Green Frame at top and bottom of photo. Title is made up of Papercraft 4 You velvet Alpha in Yellow, American Crafts 'Remarks' Whistle Stop Colour Set 1 cardstock letters, lots of blooms and brads!

Journalling Reads...

1. I am a complete chocoholic with no hope for rehabilitation.

2. I love my family & friends but also like my own space.

3. I love taking photo's but hate having mine taken.

4. I've recently discovered I love to experiment with different foods.

5. I believe in fairies & all things magical, especially Santa!

Whilst not my usual colours to work with, especially together I really enjoyed putting this layout together!

This next layout is for the http://www.pagemaps.com/blog.php?do=blog&id=49 I rotated the sketch to fit my photo but like how it's turned out!

I've used a plain brown cardstock for the background, October Afternoon's 'Daydream: Freshly Mown Lawn' & an apple from 'Detours: Fruit Stand'. The swirl is Nicole Lombardo and from a GoGo Kit... I've chopped it into 2 pieces so it would fit. The stitching is Sassfrass Lass Rub-ons.
Not sure what the Chipboard Embellies are but they looked cute and were in a GoGo Kit, I used Jenny Bowlin Rub-ons to create the Family title and the little mushrooms... and also the journalling lines are Jenny Bowlin Rub-Ons!

Stamp With Us Challenge...

'Stamp With Us' have posted their first Challenge to use this Sketch with Stampin' Up Products

This is my take on the Sketch and have used papers from the Retired 'Round Up' Scrapbooking Set, the sentiment is the sticker that usually goes on the back of Stampin' Up Wooden blocks that the stamps are supposed to be mounted on, but I store mine in cd cases so I can use the stickers to also embellish where needed :) The Decoupage image is from the new Daisy & Dandelion range! Cardstock is from November 08 Scrapagogo Greetings Kit!

OMG... It's April Already!!!

I don't know where time is going at the moment... it's just slipping by so fast!
As mentioned in my last post I was working on a couple of layouts for the boys A-Z albums from last year... I will complete them... only 3 more letters to go... YAY!!!
Here is letter 'X' for eXtreme... I have some journalling to add but not sure whether to pop it around the edge of the photo's or on the back at the moment! The boys loved this ride so much they went on it 6 times... these were the photo's from the first time round and I think their little faces say it all :P

Ok... so the day before Mother's Day I paid a visit to ST (Samuel Taylors) to get a few bits for some Mother's Day Cards as I was feeling a little uninspired and we all know what some new goodies can do to your mojo! Whilst there I popped in to see the lovely LPD's (Leeds Paper Dolls) who were believe it or not actually 'QUIET' (hehe), had a bit of a catch up and chat... was lovely to see everyone again and asked if would be ok to rejoin them for some crops as was missing them all and the 'ME' time I seem to have lost somewhere in the last 6months or so, with all the changes going on around this place... I was over the moon when the lovely Kirsty said It would be lovely to have me there again :) and with the next one being the day after my trip to Cadbury's World it would be rude not to take a big bar of choccie with me :))

After a browse round the shop, I selected some Forever Friends Decoupage, some of the lovely new Daisy & Dandelion Decoupage (1 of each set), a ribbon punch by X-cut... HisLordShip arrived when I was eyeing up the new Woodware Fingerguard Trimmer I had seen all the LPD's (such a bad influence on soeone with no willpower :P) using... last one on the shelf so he grabbed it for me from my boys as a Mother's Day gift (just need to get the rest of the blades on my next visit :P)

Here are the Mother's Day cards I created for HisLordShip's mum... the first one is using a free download from DoCrafts and the papers are from the sets I bought, you'll have to excuse the pictures as I scanned them but they didn't turn out that well :(, the other 2 are from the Decoupage sets!

I had made all 6 of the Forever Friends decoupage images into cards but before I could snap some pic's they were bought up and carted away :o Was really pleased though as i've not really been into making cards so much since I started Scrapbooking!

Here are a few more I've made with the Daisy & Dandelion range of Decoupage... hope you like them!

This one was created as a Good Luck card and managed to fit it in with a Challenge for http://sketchandstashchallenge.blogspot.com/ so really pleased with it!

I have some more decoupage images ready to pop onto cards and 2 more cards that just need a little something to finish them off so will be back with more creations soon :)

A.W.O.L again...

So so sorry... life just seems to be getting in the way... so much to do, so little time and World Of Warcraft seems to have taken a hold of me... I am just loving playing the game again... my DK (Death Knight) is now level 80 and my main character is slowly leveling as well as working on her skills... I know you don't want to hear about WoW though so will move on to the next subject of Work... Something that I have started and is taking a while getting used to and when they stop messing me around will hopefully become more enjoyable and hopefully more hours!

I have managed a couple of cards and here is where WoW meets crafting (hehe)... this first one was made for a friends birthday and must say he loved it so much he was taking it to work with him :)

This second one was made for Hislordship for his birthday... another Wow meets crafting card :)

I have just been reading the lovely Monica's site and found out this lovely bit of Blog Candy is up for grabs and a new challenge site to go with it ... http://www.stampwithus.blogspot.com/ ... i've also added the blinkie to the top of my profile box, which hopefully works as Blogger is being a pain this morning!!!

Well... now I'm off to fight with NPower so will hopefully be back later with the two layouts finally completed and also a few Mother's Day Cards that I need to make :))

Snow Day Fun & Layouts!

Ok... so I know i'm a couple of days late with my update... but i've only just had some time to myself!

Last Saturday was a crafty afternoon/evening with the girls... Nats & Rach... It was a lovely time, just chatting and catching up with each other... I really struggled to get the old Mojo flowing after so long out from scrapping... they had done two layouts each and I was only just sort of sticking a few bits down... but after an earlyish night and a bit of sleep... Sunday was another thing... I found solutions to my embellishment problems, seeing as though I had no Halloween type at all, I had to improvise and found my Penny Black Trick or Treat stamps along with Sakura pens and See D's Swirly Alpha set and I think I actually like the finished layouts!

The photo's were taken back in 2004... they were going to a school Halloween Disco... since we first started taking them Trick or Treating they have always dressed as Vampires... hmmm maybe that's down to me as I read so many books/stories on Vampires etc whilst I was pregnant... I just love anything mystical and magical... LOL

Now for the Snow Day fun... the boys were off school Monday and Tuesday due to the lovely snow we've had! Monday we stayed close to home and boys just played in the garden having snowball fights, but Tuesday we decided to get out for a bit so dug the sledge's out of the shed and went down to the pavillion for a walk and some fun...

The boys spent ages building this snowman inbetween snowball fights and sledging down the hill... I got loads of photo's and hopefully I will get time to make them into a mini album in memory of Snow Day!!!

It's snowing yet again... I have shopping to do, but may wait until the boys finish school!

Think i'll spend the day working on the letter 'X' as I have a layout idea in my head and photo's already to go... Hopefully back a bit later with some more layouts!

Update...

Ok so blogger is now uploading my photo's I can do a quick update before boys get up for school!

Christmas was nice and relaxed... we stayed home this year... had grandparents and aunt come to us for an hour or so in the morning after we'd opened our gifts!

I was really good this year and didn't go OTT on the boys... their main gift was the Nintendo DS and by the looks of these pic's it was a well recieved pressie

Christmas Day Evening was spent at grandparents house for the evening party... few drinks and nibbles along with one of the cousins bringing their Wii & Wii Fit... very hilarious when slightly intoxicated!
The rest of Christmas was nice and quiet... spread between home and Grandparents house!

New Years Eve... again nothing special... just a quiet night in with my thoughts and the boys!

Since the World of Warcraft Expansion Pack... Wrath Of The Lich King has come out, I have been playing it quite a lot... I Love my DK (Death Knight)... only have one problem... I now need a new pc as this is sooo slow at the moment, it'll grind to a halt soon :(

3rd of January... I was whisked out for some fresh air whilst the boys were out shopping with grandparents for their birthday pressies!
A nice ride out to Otley Chevin... very cold but sooo refreshing and I just love the view!

Yes I was naughty for not having proper bike gear on... but I will invest or get someone to treat me if I am to go on more often :P

I've not had chance to do much crafting what with WoW and trying to make a start on decluttering my house... I'm doing it slowly and also trying to downsize my furniture at the same time... It's a huge task but I will get it done!

This Saturday just past was an evening out for the boys birthday which is tomorrow... I feel sooo old as they turn 11... and it'll soon be time for High School!
We went to a lovely restaurant where you can see the pizza's being made and when the boys cake was brought out, the whole restaurant was made to sing 'Happy Birthday' to them! Here's a couple of pic's...

Today's task is to go get some bits for a little tea-party for tomorrow night when grandparents bring the boys gifts round!
I know for a fact the boys are getting the Wii Fit from grandparents as I had to order it for them... but... I wonder who will get most use out of that :P

Well... I suppose I best go get the boys up from their pits and ready for school... hopefully back soon with something craftwise to show you :)

OMG...

Time is flying by... I can't believe it's been so long since my last post... I must apologise to everyone before I go on any further... I just don't know where the days are going, so much going on and so much to get done... my head is in a spin!

Ok... so first off I'll post the layouts I did for boys A-Z Albums... now i've added the K in it's rightful place... Hehe... so here they are...

I've used some of my Scrap-A-GoGo Kits for these layouts!

I'm a bit disappointed that I didn't manage to finish the albums... still have U, V, W, X and Z to do... but they will be done and are my first projects for 2009 before I start anything else!

This was going to be a nice long post with lots of photo's but Blogger seems to be playing up and i'm struggling to upload the rest of my photo's... so will have to try and do several small posts and if that doesn't work... i'll try again tomorrow!
